eBroadcast launches new TV & Cinema meta-data service

eBroadcast is proud to announce the release of our "next-generation" TV & Cinema meta-data service.

eBroadcast can now provide descriptive, image-rich entertainment information that can be integrated into multiple products, services and applications to enhance the overall entertainment experience.

Officially launched in February 2014, the new services provide a greater level of content depth and discovery including:

TV Guides

eBroadcast’s comprehensive TV listings service now includes extensive program information, multimedia and social content for all television channels broadcasting on free-to-air in Australia, including:

  • Rolling 14 day guides
  • Hi-res and web-ready images for show titles
  • Broadcast and program details including genres, ratings, consumer advice, plus visual and sound specifications.
  • Cast, directing, writing and producing credits
  • Content discovery data including social media and related web links
  • eBroadcast’s own Event IDs and Show IDs plus network Content Reference Identifiers (CRID)
  • Critic reviews from Australia and around the world
  • On-demand data for each show (coming soon)


Movie Guides

eBroadcast now provides the most comprehensive movie session time service in Australia. We collate and syndicate every session time for every cinema screening in Australia, seven days a week:

  • Session times up to 4 weeks in advance
  • Session time ticketing facilities
  • Unique MovieIDs for further discovery
  • Cinema names, contact details and geo-location values
  • Film details including genres, ratings, consumer advice, plus visual and sound specifications.
  • Cast, directing, writing and producing credits
  • Hi-res and web-ready images for film titles
  • Critic reviews from around Australia and the world
  • Content discovery data including social media and related web links

eBroadcast now offers a growing library of Australian and international celebrity profiles linked with our bound and unbound meta-data:

  • Speciality (Actor, Director, Writer etc)
  • Content discovery data such as social media (including Twitter handles) and related web links

Unbound Meta-Data

eBroadcast now offers a growing library of original, unbound meta-data for use in content discovery and on-demand services:

  • Episode Guides for hundreds of Australian and international shows
  • Broadcast and program/film details including genres, ratings, consumer advice, plus visual and sound specifications.
  • Original Australian broadcast and cinema release dates
  • Cast, directing, writing and producing credits

Many of the new features launched in this upgrade are a direct result from an extensive consultation period with key Australian and international industry figures and companies.

This is an exciting new stage in the history of eBroadcast and it underlines our firm commitment to offering powerful and relevant products to customers and consumers.

The new content service is now available to all new clients nationally and internationally and will be rolled out to existing clients over 2014.
